Fourcast collaborates with municipalities and other service partners in Peterborough, Northumberland County, City of Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton to support people who are exiting homelessness. Our supportive housing programs include transitional and permanent supportive housing leading to independent living.
Housing referrals in Peterborough and Northumberland counties come through the By-Name List using a priority process in each community. In City of Kawartha Lakes, housing referrals come through collaborative programming with A Place Called Home. We partner with non-profit and private landlords to secure rental units for service users in our housing programs.
- Transitional Housing — Pairs housing stabilization with intensive supports. Based on building strong partnerships with landlords and community partners.
- Permanent Supportive Housing — Encourages longer-term stability with a standard lease (RTA), rent subsidies, and staff supports.
- Independent Living — An important step-down option for those transitioning to living on their own while still receiving team support and links to long-term rental support.
