Individual Counselling

Treatment for people with substance use or gambling concerns will usually begin with an assessment using provincially standardized tools. The assessment gives service users valuable information that helps them make informed choices about their treatment goals and needs.

Service users are linked to a primary Counsellor who will work with them to create a customized treatment plan based on their unique needs. Some of the specialized treatment options offered at Fourcast include:

  • Gambling Support — We offer specialized counselling and treatment to support people with gambling concerns.
  • Pregnant & Parenting — Service users who are pregnant, and/or parenting children aged 2 and under, can access addiction treatment with individualized options. They receive intensive case management support and fast-tracking into other services along with community outreach.
  • Youth Support
  • Family Programs — We also offer counselling for those affected by a loved one’s use of substances or gambling, including group Family Information Sessions and the Family Education Program. The person struggling with addictions does not need to be a Fourcast service user in order for their family members or loved ones to access our support.
